Discipleship in the West is Broken.
More INFORMATION doesn’t mean we have more KNOWLEDGE. And more knowledge doesn’t mean we have grown in WISDOM.
Too many Christians in the West think that information leads to wisdom. But it doesn’t work that way.
We have TOO MANY Christians reveling in their information and knowledge (about the Bible, about what is or isn’t Fake News, about prophecies that will come to pass).
But too many have very little wisdom.
Wisdom comes from character, and wisdom leads to knowledge that matters. Wisdom is cultivated in communities of love, who desire the same thing — who desire God above all else.
Instead of desiring God, we desire to be RIGHT, and we desire to defeat our ENEMIES. Neither leads to the wisdom of God, only the ways of the world.
