Death is Exploring from God, to God, with God

Death, for Christians, is the ultimate act of exploring, travelled from the secure base of attachment in God.

In peace and joy we enter the unknown, knowing—even there—God is WITH US.

When we are secure in God then God is both our safe haven and secure base. And from this secure base we can move out and explore the world.

And at the end, at our death, we again move forward from the secure base of God into the unknown. But we can do this in peace, even with joy, because know that God is still with us.

In death, as in life, we are moving from God to God with God.

Questions I have wondered about…

Do you think that Jesus cry of “why have you forsaken me” is related to what you are writing about here?

I realize that it was only one phrase of a Psalm/prayer, and upon hearing this piece we are likely intended to draw on the full Psalm.

Was the greatest trauma in the cross a kind of severing of the attachment bond between the Father and Son and Spirit?
